Recently, I had the opportunity to introduce the Dashboard to several Mac users. Yes, the Dashboard has been around for years, but I'm not sure how many people really know much about it since it is tucked away behind an F-key on the keyboard.

To get to the Dashboard, hit the F4 key on the keyboard. (Look for the speedometer icon on the F4 key. If you don't see it and you have an older Mac, hit F12.)

The Dashboard appears over the top of your Desktop and open windows and displays Widgets. Widgets are little one-trick pony applications that you place on your Desktop.

To help introduce (or re-introduce) the Dashboard, here is a recap of tips having to do with Dashboard Widgets.
