One question I hear often from people is "Where did my file go?" When you download an item in Safari, your file will go into the Downloads folder unless you changed that in Safari's preferences. Rather than poking around in the Finder for the just downloaded file, there is a quick and easy way to find it.

In Safari, open the Downloads window located under the Window menu item on the Menu Bar. When the Downloads window opens, scroll to the bottom to find the most recent download.

At the right of the name of the downloaded file is a grey icon of a magnifying glass. Click on this icon and a Finder window will open with the downloaded file selected.
