Quitting and Hiding Applications Quickly
A Command-Tab trick

Here is a little trick to quickly quit or hide applications. It is based on this tip to quickly switch between applications.

Hold down the Command key and press Tab. This will pop up the application switcher. Keep pressing tab until you have selected the application you want to quit or hide.

Then, with the Command key still held down, press Q to quit or H to hide. You can then tab to the next application you want to quit or hide and do the same thing.
